It may be possible for your offshore bank account to be opened by courier and you do not need to visit the bank in person. Where a meeting is recommended, the bank representatives can visit you or you can visit the bank’s nearest branch, though this is generally not a requirement.
Documents required for an offshore account:
The following documents are required to open an offshore bank account:
- A completed application form
- A certified copy of your passport
- A bank reference for all signatories
- Verification of a permanent address for each signatory. A recent utility bill is preferred
- A certified copy of your company Certificate of Incorporation which we will provide
- A certified copy of the Memorandum and Articles of Association which we will provide
- A board resolution appointing authorised signatories. We will prepare this
